DID JERMAINE JONES GET BOOTED FROM IDOL???

Well, according to several news sources, THIS IS TRUE!!  And no, he wasn't booted due to lack of votes either. Supposedly, the 'Gentle Giant' isn't so gentle after all.   On Tuesday, TMZ first reported that producers discovered that Jermaine had lied to them about his criminal history and decided to confront him on camera Tuesday afternoon. Now before I get into his criminal past, let me dish about this story about what he called "his dead-beat dad". So if you've been keeping up with Idol, JJ originally didn't make the top 24 but was brought back as what I'll call a "Wildcard Pick". Anywhoo,  JJ told producers that his father abandoned him 10 years ago. Once this information leaked and was blasted, the father calls us TMZ and told them JJ's story was a bunch of BS and said he sees his son on the regular. So already, JJ has obviously fabricated something. JJ then went to his Twitter page and tweeted that he had never told producers about his dad abandoning him. (Really dude...So where did the story come from??) So this is when the producers got a little iffy about his credability and started looking a little closer into his background. which leads them to criminal charges.  Want to know what they found......



According to TMZ, one incident went down on March 5, 2011 ... when Jones was involved in a fight at a Howard Johnson Hotel in Jersey. We're told cops responded ...but Jermaine gave them a fake name of Joel Jones  [Really Dude...SMH]. He was charged with public nuisance and obstruction of justice. He was also arrested for having outstanding warrants. The next incident went down November 27, 2011 when Jermaine was the passenger in a car that was pulled over in Gloucester Township, NJ. Jermaine was questioned by cops and ONCE AGAIN gave them a fake name of Kareem Watkins [Still SMH'ing]. He was charged for hindering apprehension and giving false information to avoid self-discovery. He was also arrested for having outstanding warrants again. Reportedly JJ had a total of 4 outstanding warrants (3 for driving on a suspended license, and 1 for disorderly conduct with an open container).

JJ tweeted from his official 'Idol' twitter account yesterday (@JJonesAI11): "Awww I will no longer b on the show". And guess what, that account = NO LONGER EXISTS.

Now get this, SUPPOSEDLY, on the show tonight, there will be footage of the producers confronting JJ about his past and them officially dismissing him from the show.

Lawd this is a bunch of mess!!! This isn't the first time that someone has gotten axed from Idol because they didn't disclose their troubled past but if this is true, this will be the first time that cameras are rolling when the contestant is getting the boot. Now I used to be a FAITHFUL  Idol watcher a few years back but the show became less and less interesting to me. I have been sort of keeping up this season because I have a few favorites. But, could this entire situation be a PLOY to get more views to tune in to Idol tonight??? We'll find out if they really show JJ getting the axe tonight at 7pm CST on Fox.
