Well, according to several news sources, THIS IS TRUE!! And no, he wasn't booted due to lack of votes either. Supposedly, the 'Gentle Giant' isn't so gentle after all. On Tuesday, TMZ first reported that producers discovered that Jermaine had lied to them about his criminal history and decided to confront him on camera Tuesday afternoon. Now before I get into his criminal past, let me dish about this story about what he called "his dead-beat dad". So if you've been keeping up with Idol, JJ originally didn't make the top 24 but was brought back as what I'll call a "Wildcard Pick". Anywhoo, JJ told producers that his father abandoned him 10 years ago. Once this information leaked and was blasted, the father calls us TMZ and told them JJ's story was a bunch of BS and said he sees his son on the regular. So already, JJ has obviously fabricated something. JJ then went to his Twitter page and tweeted that he had never told producers about his dad abandoning him. (Really dude...So where did the story come from??) So this is when the producers got a little iffy about his credability and started looking a little closer into his background. which leads them to criminal charges. Want to know what they found......
