All of these years, the source says that their luxurious lifestyle has been supported by hip-hop mogul and Kimora’s ex-husband Russell Simmons.
According to the source, when Russell decided to put the breaks on his cash, Simmons and Hounsou’s marriage started to crack, “Djimon walked out on Kimora,” says the source, who adds that the split may have been prompted by Simmons’ ex-husband, hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons ’ decision to stop funding the pair’s lifestyle.”
Adding fuel to the fire is Kimora’s recent real estate move: Kimora, the creative director, president of JustFab.com, put her $5.9 million home on the market for just $4.7 million, causing some to think that what the unnamed source is saying is true.
Kimora has addressed the real estate move by tweeting the following:
Wow, I put 1 of several properties I own (+ DONT live in) on the market & now apparently my whole life is fallin apart?!” she tweeted. “Rumors, Rumors …”
But hasn't said a thing about the split rumors. When asked about the state of her marriage, Kimora’s spokeswoman only responded that:
