**EXCLUSIVE Q&A WITH R&B GROUP BRUTHA**

The brothers that make up Def Jam’s R&B super group Brutha were literally born to sing and bringing real R&B back is definitely what this group is doing. While their first album (which was released in 2008) was well received by their fans, Brutha is ready to show the world just how far they have come. Their sophomore album, Vacancy is an intimate reflection of their young, fly and flashy lifestyle. AllureRadio caught up with the handsome bothers Papa, Jake, and JR to discuss their new album and let the fans get a closer look at BRUTHA!


AllureRadio: For starters, congrats on your success thus far with the first album. How are things coming along on Vacancy?
Brutha: Things are going beautifully! We got about half the album done, and we’re continuing to record and do shows to build awareness on the album.

What can your fans expect to hear on this new album? (any collabs, contributing producers/arrangers, etc.)
Baby makin music…
Collab wise, we got R Kelly, Rick Ross, &Twista. Just expect good old fashioned R&B.

Favorite songs on the album so far?
Papa’s favs are “High is Coming Down” & “Talkbox”, Jared’s fav is “Talkbox”, and Jake’s fav is “Make Love.”

Is there an anticipated release date yet?
A release date will be made when “High is Coming Down” does what it’s supposed to and reaches a top spot on the charts. We’re still grindin.

Your BET show Brothers to Brutha received a significant amount of viewers. Did you guys expect to gain as much recognition and pull in such a large fan base after only a few episodes?
Definitely not! It was definitely a shock. We were extremely excited and grateful for what the show did for us.

Would you all consider doing a reality show again?
Never say never, but right now we’re just focused totally on the music.

Now I must touch on the rumor mill. There is a recent rumor that the group is now down to 3 members. Is this true? If so, who are the remaining members and can you touch on what cause the group to go from 5 to 3?
We’ll discuss that in due time…

What’s next for Brutha?
High is Coming Down the single is out, so working on making that #1. You can expect to see Brutha in your city very soon. We’ll be grinding as always, because grindin never stops.

Any last words for the fans/supporters?

Collectively, we don’t know, so we asked a few ladies to answer that for us:
Lady #1: Jake is extremely kind, and seems to be very romantic seeing as his hobbies are giving massages and writing poetry. Adding to that, he’s perfectly fit and sexy, as well as being super talented in both singing AND dancing.
Lady #2: Papa is the best friend that you end up falling in love with. He’s fun, funny, and on top of being handsome and having a singing voice that oozes sex, he has a unique eye for fashion that always keeps his steez at the highest.
Lady #3: JR is handsome comedy. He’s the go-to guy when you want to have fun or whenever you need some good advice. Not only can this genuinely sweet man sing, but he holds the dual talent of being able to drop a 16.
